Educational Technical Institute, Barabanki was originated in the year 1998 by a group of social activists dedicated for the welfare and upliftment of poor and deprived sections of the society across various districts of Uttar Pradesh. The organization had implemented various programmes both out of its own resources and externally funded and these have been utilized for the benefit of people of the above categories without any discrimination on the basis of religion, caste and creed. The focus areas of the organization are women empowerment, poverty alleviation and livelihood enhancement, literacy and education promotion, adolescent health and their welfare, health care, handicraft & rural village industry development.
